Honesty policy

Effective date: August 1, 2024

Giving honest feedback can be tough. Whether it's fear of repercussions, something sensitive that would be awkward to share directly, or just wanting to not “rock the boat”, folks often prefer to stay quiet rather than say what needs to be said.

That's why we've built a tool that lets you give honest feedback completely anonymously. That's right: not even we can tell who gave the feedback.

How does this work?

Once you've completed giving your rating and open feedback, we provide you with a link to our secure interface where you can submit anonymous feedback. That link is quite special. It contains an encrypted token containing the ID of your organization, the ID of your department (optional to share), the ID of the round, and a randomly generated UUID for the honest feedback. This last one allows us to ensure one submission per user while not knowing who the exact user is. In other words: we have no way of knowing who you are the moment you land on the honest feedback page.

What does the feedback look like?

When the anonymous feedback makes it to our system, we display it in its own “Honest Feedback” section. Here's how it looks in the interface:

What if the account owner requests to see who submitted the feedback?

As part of our terms and conditions, we make it clear that we will not comply with any requests for identifying users, since it is not technically possible to identify the individual who submitted the feedback.

How do you deal with abuse or threats?

Should there be a serious case of abuse or threats, this can be flagged in the account and sent to our moderation team. If we find that the user is in breach of our anonymous honesty policy, they will not be able to submit future anonymous feedback for a minimum of one round, up to a year of rounds in total.

Severe abuse or threats will result in the user being completely blocked from future submissions.
